I am Fernanda Adriele Silva a determined and persistent person.

whose main passion is to provide you with the resources you need to succeed in your parenting journey, and also to show you how you can work from home and have the best of both worlds.

The best thing a parent can do is watch their children grow, and be there for them every step of the way, it is so unfortunate that the corporate job doesn’t allow us to have this privilege.

If there’s a will there’s a way, if you are determined to create passive income, work from home, and watch those precious smiles that you’ll never gain back from your beautiful children, I can help you live the life you desire!

From a cited individual, to now a fully blind mother and wife together with my husband we are able to create passive income for our family with our e-commerce business and this blog.

Every work experience and skills that I learned was an asset gained to steer me in the right direction.

Throughout my journey until now I had the opportunity to go from a graphic arts student to a restaurant business owner, medical translator, licensed massage therapistlicensed financial consultant,  e-commerce entrepreneur, a desire to help moms and moms to be, and a  passionate blogger.

I learned that in life we can never succeed alone.

* We need people to hold us accountable

* some work experiences Will provide us with skills, to help us succeed and achieve our goals

* sometimes we will need to take courses, attend seminars, read books, etc. to get where we want to be.

Together let’s create a world where parents can work from home and always be there for their children!

It is nice to read a blog that only talks about success, but to me honestly, it’s truly beautiful to see that someone Learned many lessons to succeed.

Here is my story and everything that I had to learn along the way to get the privilege to be riding this about me section today

In 1988 I was born in Brazil, at that time I had a 2year-old brother

as we grew he became one of my biggest friends and supporter.
when I was four years old my parents decided that their marriage was over, and decided to get a divorce, what I didn’t know is what was expecting my brother and me on the other side of this decision. My mother soon found out that she couldn’t provide for herself and her two children in Brazil, she had to make a really hard decision in life, leave her two children behind with their maternal grandmother and try life in a new country in her case it was the United States.

My grandma is a very loving individual, but very strict and very religious, when breaking the news to us of what was truly happening in our lives I remember her sitting us down, and without cutting any corners, she went straight to the point. I can still remember that day, I remember her saying, now listen up you two, your mother went to the United States, it is a different country, far far away from here, I don’t know when, or if she will ever return also I don’t allow television in my house, and there isn’t such a thing as Santa Claus. And of course a bunch of other stuff. And that point I was scared, I looked at my brother with tears in my eyes I remember him holding my hand and saying everything is going to be all right. At a very young age, we learned how to be strong, and after a storm, there is always sunshine waiting for you, as long as you’re persistent and don’t ever give up. Today I look back and I can’t blame the old lady, she was stuck with two children, and not knowing what life had in store for them, or their single mother at the time.

As a very young girl I decided to become a perfectionist and everything I did, thinking to myself if I am perfect in everything I do no one will abandon me, they will like me and praise me to my mom, and we can be reunited. Trying to be perfect in everything you do in life can create doubt, fear, and insecurity.

In 1998 my brother and I reunited with our mom in the US.

Our mother was remarried, had a 15-month-old baby, and was pregnant again. My brother and I had to start our lives all over again, learn a new culture, make new friends, attend a totally different school, and learn a new language. My brother and I had to go through many different changes in this country, shaking us out of our childhood comfort zone and teaching us new skills.
I went to a bilingual elementary school at the time, and right after that went to middle school in a different city, where there were no bilingual teachers, now English was the only language thought in school, bringing with it many challenges, teaching me that determination in life is a must.

I always strived to get A’s and B’s in school, and tried to be perfect in everything I did to try to catch my mom‘s attention With no success, especially now that she had four Young mouths to feed, in a new country, even though she had a husband,  they had four kids and she was pregnant once again.  My brother and I had to learn many things at a very young age, since we were The older siblings, we had to help out as much as we could, Teaching us many skills such as communication so we could help our bilingual parents.
Organization since now we had to help out our parents.
Time management since we had to have a schedule
My mom was very strict also, and would limit when, and how long could we see our father.

When I was 13 years old Another curveball

the only person that was by my side through everything that we had to go through in life, decided to go live with our father, Now I no longer have my brother with me, and of course, new challenges arose with him not being around. When it was time to go to high school, I decided to go to a technical high school, where I would learn a  career and graduate with two diplomas this way I could work in the field that I had chosen for myself, and if I decided to go to college could pursue it in college. I know no one does this while still in high school but I was one of the few Who got married while still in high school, my husband and I are from the same church, we met on a church bus going to a Youth trip little did we know that things would happen so fast for us, we got engaged in February and married in July, we had known each other for six months.

Everyone told us that it wouldn’t last, besides you only known him for six months, you still have your last year of school to go through, you’re so young, it will never last. I remember that in May of that year, I got an infection in one of my eyes, resulting in my first surgery in life, and I had to remove my eye that day. I still remember having the conversation with the doctor that was making my prosthetic eye and begging her to have that eye on time because I was getting married soon and I couldn’t get married without that artificial eye. I remember her trying to explain 1000 times to me, that it wasn’t about the eye being ready on time, the main problem was that my eye socket was still swollen and it needed time to heal. Thank goodness I pursue Great communication skills and was able to convince her, to put the prosthetic eye in before my big day.

Even though I had to go through that surgery, and now have an artificial eye, everything was still beautiful in life, I was going into my last year of high school, pursuing graphic arts, and was now a newlywed enjoying life to the fullest. Well if you know a little bit about graphic arts, you would know that the graphic artist has to spend hours and hours in front of the computer, trying to go back to school that September, and do everything that needed to be done, to conclude my last year of high school, unfortunately, resulted in a lot of pain on my remaining eye, after a few meetings with the school we came to the conclusion that it was going to be best if I took a year off from school to give my body the necessary time to heal.   Little did I know that in April of the following year, I would wake up one day with blurry vision. I scheduled an appointment with the ophthalmologist ASAP, and at that time my ophthalmologist informed me that she thought it was seasonal allergies due to pollen, that I had nothing to worry about, and if things didn’t get better by the end of the summer for me to return. So from April to August a blurry vision from sunrise to sunset was my new normal.

I will never forget August 2008, when I Became Blind

I was married for one year, and on August 12, I blinked and everything became dark. I convinced myself that I was too tired, and that’s why that was happening, that in the following morning everything was going to be back to normal, I was actually in a stage of denial and didn’t even know it. The morning came and I still couldn’t see anything, but I still had hope, that the doctors will be able to fix whatever it might be in a jiffy, and everything would go back to normal, I was able to convince myself for a little while.

I was able to get another appointment with the ophthalmologist and then came the big news, you had a retina detachment, unfortunately, your retina fully detached, it folded in half and it is flowing in the back of your eye, when this happens there isn’t anything that can be done. You are now totally blind, we are going to gather the necessary documentation, and point you in the right direction so you can start getting the necessary training to learn how to adapt to your new normal. We will also make sure that you can get your certificate of blindness ASAP.

The doctors finished it up by saying, you are still young, Technology is advancing very fast, maybe in the future they will have artificial retina, and something can be done in your case.

I wanted to know everything about blindness

took courses and learned how to live with visual impairment, how to utilize screen readers, and learn Braille, as fast as I could so this way I could continue my Journey and pursue something new. Soon I got the news that I had infertility problems and couldn’t conceive a child, I also had to go through, six different surgeries for various reasons, was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy, also known as facial paralysis, and had two positive thyroid cancer biopsies, and I gained 100 pounds. While all of this was going on in my life, I was making sure to always keep myself occupied.

From a student who couldn’t finish school, to a restaurant business owner with my husband

where we’ve learned many lessons including that you don’t have freedom when you are a restaurant owner. While still in the restaurant business, I decided that it was time to go for my GED, and get that high school diploma, after that I decided to pursue massage therapy because I always had a passion to help others. Since I am bilingual and had so much anatomy under my belt after going to school for Massage, I decided to do some medical interpreting this way I could expand the number of people that I could help out.

I received result of a negative biopsy. we were married for 11 years when we found out that I was pregnant for the first time, My miracle baby from heaven was on its way. I guess the holistic approach that I took in life, with my spiritual belief, allowed us to become parents. As soon as I found out, I decided to take courses, classes, seminars, and everything else that I could get my hands on regarding pregnancy and parenting. I wanted to know everything I possibly could to have the best birthing experience, and be an amazing parent to my new bundle of joy!

Little did I know that this would open up a whole new window in my life, with my certification in prenatal massage, and all the knowledge that I gain from taking courses while pregnant with my first child created a beautiful passion to help out New moms and moms to be in their parenting journey. Taking courses on paradigm-shifting, and personal development, removed the doubts and insecurity that I had to create my brand which was a childhood dream, with feedback from outstanding parents I was able to create and launch my brand of products for babies and toddlers!

Today I am a blind mother of three handsome boys

together with my husband run our e-commerce business, and I also have the privilege of teaching new parents and parents to be that you can live the life you want! I love the fact that I can teach parents how to work from home while mastering parenting and watching their beautiful children grow.
